Step inside Hey Koneko, and you feel it right away, it’s the calm pulse of creativity. Sunlight filters through tall windows, glinting off ceramics and soft textures. Each corner carries the mark of an artist who believes in intention. For Linda Bishop, this space at Tower 22 represents what can happen when vision meets the right environment.

Finding the Right Home for a Creative Studio at East Dallas
When Linda was ready to open her own studio, she searched for a place that offered character and potential. Tower 22 felt right from the start. The building had history and texture, and its mix of old structure and new energy sparked her imagination.
“I fell in love with this building,” she says. “It was boarded up, but I could already see what it could be.”
Linda became one of the first to move in, turning a vacant unit into a welcoming studio filled with light and life. That transformation mirrors what many creatives discover here: a chance to shape their environment and contribute to a growing community
Hey Koneko Studio: Built Around Comfort and Craft
Hey Koneko now spans several creative spaces that work naturally together. The Main Street suite blends the Hey Koneko retail shop with Good Boy Café, creating a warm entry point for visitors. In the original suite toward Washington, Koneko Studio focuses on tattooing, while Koneko Beauty provides hair, nail, and skincare services.
“Getting tattooed or receiving any kind of service is personal,” Linda says. “People should feel comfortable the moment they walk in.”
That sense of ease comes from the details:
- Soft lighting and natural textures
- Plants and curated music that set a relaxed tone
- Open spaces that invite conversation and connection
Many clients stay to browse or talk with the artists long after their appointments end. The studio feels alive because it was built with intention and care.
The same thoughtfulness shapes the team behind Hey Koneko. Linda surrounds herself with professionals who are established in their craft and share her respect for quality.
“We have a certain expectation, and we stand by it,” she explains. This standard ensures that every client receives a consistent and elevated experience.
Growth and New Momentum
After more than five years at Tower 22, Linda continues to grow. The new front suite gave Hey Koneko and Good Boy Café their own address on Main Street while keeping Koneko Studio and Koneko Beauty anchored in the original space.
The move represents growth, but not departure. For Linda, Tower 22 remains the heart of her creative work. “This place still inspires me,” she says. “It feels like home.”
Her story reflects a larger pattern across the property. Tower 22 continues to draw artists, designers, and entrepreneurs who want a place with both freedom and structure. The sense of community that forms here is what keeps people anchored.
Tower 22: Where Creativity and Place Meet
Hey Koneko captures what makes Tower 22 distinct. The building brings together people who work with their hands, their hearts, and their ideas. It gives them space to grow and the surroundings to match their ambition.
Inside, every studio and storefront adds a new layer to the property’s identity. Each one contributes to an atmosphere that feels personal, not corporate. For visitors, that character shows up in the details: the sound of music drifting from open doors, the texture of brick walls, the calm energy that fills the hallways.
A Story That Reflects a Community
Linda’s journey shows what happens when the right person finds the right space. She saw potential where others saw a boarded-up building. Her work and her studio now embody the spirit of the community growing inside Tower 22: forward-thinking, hands-on, and full of imagination.
Hey Koneko, Good Boy Café, Koneko Studio, and Koneko Beauty all stand as reflections of that environment, each shaped by authenticity and intention, each contributing to a district that celebrates creativity and community in East Dallas.
